Albino Camel shortlisted for award.

We dont like to say we told you so... but Sophie and the Albino Camel by
Steve Davies is up for an award, just because its so jolly good.

Shortly after we gave the book a glowing review on this site, it was shortlisted for the Children's Book Award in the inaugural Glen Dimplex New Writers Awards.

The winner will be announced on the 2nd of November, and writer Steve will
sadly not be able to be there. He's in Cambodia right now, and is due to head home to his place in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso soon.

Steve is busy working on a new book, an adventure story called The Yellowcake Mystery, which looks ace. The second Sophie book, Sophie and Locust Curse is due out in March 2007.
